Mission

The mission of Florida HomeMinders is to provide total peace of mind to absentee homeowners in Broward County and South-East Miami-Dade County. Our goal is to be the most reliable home watching service in the area, providing total customer satisfaction. We will accomplish every task in a timely manner. If the task is beyond our abilities, we will find a contractor who can get it done, and will ensure that it is done properly. We will always communicate the latest developments as soon as possible so the homeowner can make informed decisions.
Total customer satisfaction also extends to our concierge services, offered to all Broward county residents who prefer to hire someone to take care of their chores. We will promise only what we can deliver, and we will keep you informed of the progress made.

Area of operation: entire Broward County; Eastern Miami-Dade County from Aventura to Key Biscayne.

We are licensed, insured, and a member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.



About the owner

Balu Vandor founded Florida HomeMinders to serve the needs of absentee homeowners in South Florida after learning of the success of a similar business in the Naples area - Guardian Angels (Their E-mail).
Balu's previous experience in the corporate world includes Industrial Engineering consulting on process improvement projects in various industries, as well as 4 years as engineer and manager in the pharmaceutical industry in Florida. Balu's education background is in Industrial Engineering, with Master's degree from Georgia Tech, and in Mechanical Engineering, with a Bachelor's from the University of Minnesota.
Balu always dreamed of running his own business, and Florida HomeMinders is the result of that dream. Starting a new business has many challenges, but Balu's wide experience, including project management, process improvement and employee relations, has prepared him for many of these. Other challenges are unique to the small business world, and provide learning opportunities and intellectual challenges.

Giving Back

Florida HomeMinders, LLC is proud to provide volunteer hours to the Wildlife Research Team, an environmental non-profit organization dedicated to habitat restoration in mangrove forests and other wetlands.
